Similarity - how to put books into game mode(Funthinkers)

Let me show you the similarity on what Funthinkers and the 4 years syllabus to offer from my daughter's nusery :-

She have done perfectly on the alphabet matching as it was a repeating games in Funthinkers(Upper-case letters)

For shapes, with funthinkers..it teaches the shapes of Triangle, Circle, Square and Rectangular...well 10 marks

So right now, as she have memorized the alphabets, I am going to teach her to read without phonic...once she could match picture 1 with S-H-O-E-S.....then will start with phonic time....

Disney's Magic English - A good continuity follow-up after “My Baby Can Read!”

I am sure that some of you heard about DVD program called “My Baby Can Read!” from LLC which c/w 4DVD, flash cards and books which was developed in the late 1990s by Robert Titzer, an educator with a Ph.D. in human performance. In spite of some controversial issues in United States on this product, my colleague have satisfied with this product, which his 1 year old toddler can say “HI” after a flashcard shown by his father.

When you see carefully it actually not baby reads(as they not learn phonic yet), but baby memorize as the baby frequently watches the program again and again.

What have some education expert says, between 0-4 years, children's brain grows around 50% and during this time it is just like sponge which absorb(learning & memorize) anything around them. So during this time you should feed their brain with early education & good knowledge.     

If your baby/toddler have went thru “My Baby Can Read!” program, I would like strongly recommended Disney’s Magic English from Grolier, which offers 26 DVD & 26 Books(for parent reference once the children have watches the DVD). This is a very good follow-up on the baby skills to memorize.

Learning from Magic English

Yesterday, I was amused with my daughter expressions of her sadness, because we didn’t go to her grandma’s house.

She said that “Nina sad, adik happy”….when I checked back, she was learning the Disney Magic English – vol. 2 : Family.

A really good learning process, which the product teaches thru the cartoons that my daughter learns from it.

Holiday with Fun Thinkers

After 2 months playing with Fun Thinkers, my daughter seems to be attached with me all the times. She constantly ask me to play "one two three" aka Fun Thinkers. The progression so far, she could memorized #1 to 16 as what avail in the Fun Thinkers' tiles. If it were until #20, probably she could manage to keep it in mind..Her favourite part are the English & Math level 1....counting 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,9...opp...she always skip the #8, as it is ok, as she would learn from the mistakes with practice....my wife and myself brought her to Kuching and the Fun Thinkers set(level 1) is in her suite case,....playing it in front of her 2nd cousins - while her cousin wondering what is that?...seems lots of Fun!

In end of February 2013, I have purchased Grolier books, VCD and educational tool for my 3 years old daughter. The package come with DWWW(Disney Words Words Words), Disney Magic English and the most effective that really encourage my daughter to play with is Fun Thinker.

My daughter, Nina seems to enjoy these three combination of learning books & tools.
